Mood Board

I decided to create this mood board to show what style I would want my magazine to be like. 

My magazine is mainly about rock n roll, with information about a few indie pop bands, so my mood board mainly includes rock - related images. 

It includes lots of red and black colours, and most of the images are black and white. This house style would become quite similar to the already existing magazine "Rolling Stone", but I would include my own style to make it a completely different magazine. Unlike Rolling Stone, my magazine will only be about music, and especially older music. Such as from the 60s to the 90s. 

The musicians wouldn't only be British/American/Australian etc. but more international so a larger audience will be interested. I have included an image of a French singer in the mood board, whom I like. My magazine will also be less formal than Rolling Stone because my target audience is ranges from B to C2 of the demographic model, where as Rolling Stone are from A to C1. It will be more messy than Rolling Stone. 

There are images of skulls, black guitars, and as I have told you, most of the images are black and white. This will attract more men than women, and the black and white will attract older people. This matches my target audience, so it's perfect. 

The black and white colour, and the brown background gives a vintage feeling, so younger people who like vintage will also be attracted to my magazine.
